[Commission Status = CLOSED]
1. Dark-S1ayer (x2)

2016 was balls, let's get that right.
Probably a huge understatement, but I won't dive more into it.
Although, that isn't saying there hasn't been anything good to come out of it, either.

That aside, I know I haven't been super active as I once was no thanks to classes, but in the next coming months I hope to change that.
"Little Owl" IS being worked on now. I've said that many times before not with this much certainty. By next month, I'll have at least the first couple pages out. The comic will hosted on Tapastic, and I'll update my contacts thing at the top once the pages are up!

Next, start expecting some animations to show up on here or elsewhere - likely on my Newgrounds and possibly Youtube!
I've had Toon Boom for a while, but it always acted funny with my Intuos tablet in ways that it was it was just unfeasible to work with.
If i wanted to animate on Toon Boom, I'd have to drive an hour down to my campus to use the Cintiqs. I have Flash too but lmao, crashing for days. That is, until this Christmas when my family all pitched in to get me a Cintiq 13HD- I can comfortably practice animating from home now!
I can perhaps create my own Game Grumps Animated like I've always wanted;; If there's a clip you wanna see animated, let me know so I can check it out and possibly plan for!

I mentioned in my last journal entry from 100 billion years ago that I got a Patreon.
I started it with a tip jar in mind and as a replacement for constantly having commissions open. That part isn't 100% set in stone yet, but my biggest problem with it is just trying to figure out what kinds of rewards to have. What would you like to see in a reward tier?  So far, the biggest thing there is an idea for a digital artbook thing, likely themed, wherein I'll include relevant doodles along with sketches and notes/thoughts that I've made whilst working on them. As of now, there's nothing exclusive to my patreon. I don't really want to force anyone to become a patron by putting things behind a paywall - nothing huge anyway. Please check it out if you like!

Think that'll be it for the time being - well, until 2017 anyway.
Hope for the best, chin up, and make wonderful things!

Digital Chara Commissions [open!] by justZaz

1. Dark-S1ayer
2. Dark-S1ayer
3. Dark-S1ayer

yes, Dark-S1ayer bought all them slots, lel.
i'll be closing commissions for the time being to put some more focus on my personal projects such as my comic, Little Owl.
of course i will still be finishing the current list of folks and commissions will be back at some point, but probably not in the same way as it's done now.

i want to still be able to draw things for people, but still make time between working on my comics and schoolwork in a way that is more comfortable and manageable to deal with. more importantly, i want to be able to work on things that can help me in building a career in illustrating/animating and just in general try new things towards that. but i'll need help doing that, given im a full-time college student.

i put a lot of thought into this, but i've made a Patreon: www.patreon.com/justZaz
im just gonna be honest and say i'm in a tight spot for cash and having my commissions work as they have isn't going to be as effective in the long run, especially for when it comes to needing to upgrade software and new equipment. i doubt i'll be making that much more, but at least with Patreon it can be a bit more steady than waiting to see if i get an email about commissions. it can help pay down some of my student loans / bills with what i make off Patreon, but also give back to a bigger group of people with perks - simple perks, but still.

if you'd like to support me, alright!
if for whatever reason you don't, that's alright too!

just making everyone aware of this is all - the page is still being edited off and on, but go have a look if anything!
heyo everyone,
long time no nothing at all!

i wouldnt feel very good if i didnt at least just say what's keeping me from
being more active as of late. basically i just finished midterms, so that's primarily
the reason why i've been away the last week or so.

still, i am working on some neato things im pretty proud of! in fact, here's some previews:
i.imgur.com/AKtmgHy.png
i.imgur.com/FnG6rs2.png

there's some more going on too, but for the time being those are the things im spending most of my drawing time on - drawing outside of class things anyway.

having attempted and since quitting SaD the second time through, i just feel worse about not having posted anything since then. but hopefully i can find more time to buckle down and get to finishing these.

...now how do i begin making panels...
to say 2014 was a great year for me is like saying i fried an egg on a hot sidewalk - yeah its cooked, but its still covered in dirt.

lots of things hit me along the way both for better and for worse, especially in recent months.
i also learned a lot about myself this year - both things i am happy and disappointed about. i was lost on a lot of things, but when things worked out they were such highs i wished i could go back and relive again. i've given kind words myself to those who needed them most, as well as vice-versa, for i had been in some real low points this year. i've always thought to myself things could only get better from here - but often met with the opposite. things do get better, but the length i'd have to go to see that true is sometimes too much to bear. even worse is when there's nothing i could really do about it other than to let it go. whether or not these things were rationally worth the effort to try and fight for was only up for me to decide, as i am the only who would find it worth trying.

i've also been given some choice decisions to make as far as my personal life goes.
they're big deals and they're wonderfully enticing, but i have fears i wont have means to fulfill them, let alone deal with promises i've made as far as my own things go. without really going into specifics on only SOME of those things, im just going to say i've done hecked up. that has nothing to do with the "big deals" i've been informed about, but it's been eating me up inside all the same. lately it seemed like, the more promising something is, the more i might end up pushing away in favor of the former.

i've also been talking a lot with people about their problems, but also thought about how i seldom ever talk about my own.
i thought for a while that im content with that. i like talking to people, but at the same time afraid of what they might have to say or even what i have to say. im usually very careful with what i need or even want to say, but sometimes there's no other way to say something than just to speak it. im fortunate to have people who do listen, understand, and reassure me in the same way i try to do for them when they're bothered by something.

anyway, sorry if this sounded really bummer'y, but i felt like i have to let it out.
if you - and by 'you' i mean the handful of you who actively follow me - thought i've become rather inactive on here in the last couple months, you're not wrong. i've been dealing with a lot of things both art stuff and more personal things.

but, the future i hope looks wonderfully promising.
however, it's all up to me to see it come out the best as it could. humble cheers for 2015.
I meant to write this sooner but there's a reason for that.
and that reason is quite simply put:

there's really nothing noteworthy to write about.

that's not to say i didnt have fun - i just didnt have as MUCH as i did last year. i may have had a table last year, but not having one this year showed me i dont have a lot of interest being outside of the artist alley. i'll be the first to say that im not very big on anime - at least, not anymore. it certainly didnt help that this year's flavor was of Kill la Kill, which was pretty much the nail in the coffin of what is now my former love of watching animu. and quite frankly i will not miss it.

but that's a different story, this is about my experience at AX this year.
again, i didnt have as much fun just walking around. i thought i'd enjoy it more as i'd have more time to mingle and take photos. while i did get to do so, i didnt think too much about what else im going to do outside of that. i was already disinterested in generally watching animu, so none of the panels caught my eye. even for the ones that DID catch my eye, they were so late in the day i was already exhausted and bored i just went back to my hotel.

i've now made it a point if i was going to attend a convention, im going to have an artist table. after all, i'll have a place to sit, deposit my own purchases during the day, have things to work on, and i'll be in my favorite part of the exhibit hall. otherwise, what the heck am i going to do for 4 days? i was ready to go home after the second.

but okay, what DID i enjoy? well here's a list:
+ caught up with many of the artists/friends/folks i've mingled with years prior
+ met new artists who i hope to catch with via social networks and future conventions
+ acquired Cristina Vee's autograph and chatted with a bit
+ acquired a butt-ton of prints and art books from the artist alley
+ got nice commissions from wonderful artists
+ attended a cosplay gathering (in this case, One Piece)
+ played Guilty Gear Xrd (it was ok)

but yes, that was pretty much it. compared to last year's lists of pros, its really small. but it's not like it was a massive disappointment - just could have been a lot more fun, i think. its not like it was the con's fault - how can it be - i just didnt find much else to like.

welp, until next year.
hopefully i can grab a table too.
AX is dangerously close and im too hype.
i'll be meeting up and making a tweet every now and then during convention times - which you can see on my front page, how about that!

like last time, if some of you are going, i'd love to meet you! we can hang or something and junk :U
i'll be there for all 4 days and i'll likely be wandering around the exhibitor's hall and artist alley mingling as Sanji (One Piece) the entire time.

hope to see you there!
convention time is coming!
although i wont have a table this year, i still want to try and meet folks from here. for those wondering, Anime Expo is the largest JPN pop-culture convention in the US and is going to be at the Los Angeles Convention Center on July 3-6. i havent quite figured out how this would all work out apart from phone contacts, but i just want to be able to hang with folks i literally only get to see for a few days once a year - if ever, even.

that being said though, in the past couple years i spent most of my time in the Artist Alley, so if im anywhere, im there (mind you, in the past i had a table to sell at, so i was going to be in the Alley anyway). this year i plan to hang around there again and mingle, while supporting the artists. being someone who had sold a few times, it's really tough for the newer applicants especially, so i want to try and support them as well and come home with more things to pin to my wall.

AX is about the only the convention i try to attend yearly, though i do try to attend other local ones if my budget would allow. one such example would be Anime Conji or eventually Anime Los Angeles.

looking forward to meeting both new and old friends this year! well, here's hoping anyhow, ahah.

EDIT: forgot to mention, that streams are back to being spontaneous. i figured it'd be a lot easier to handle given this year's plans.

hope everyone had a good year so far :U
this year is going to be a lot more ambitious and experimental. that's because im going to finally venture into making comics and Flash cartoons/media. that means "Chara-Fighter" is going to be finished, i'll be doing some animations, and again finally, actual comics.

just wanted to keep this short, but there ya go.

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! i bring you an editorial!
i got to play and watch a few new things this year and i felt it fun to share what i thought, because why not?
it's a year in review, as it were, honhonhonhon. feel free to share your opinions on the things below and other things that you experienced this year in the comments. so, in no particular order:

[Little Witch Academia]
+ a pleasantly whimsical film that left me wanting more.
+ its presentation is very well done and the colorful cast of characters were nothing short of delightful.
+ it felt, to me, surprisingly Disney-esque. the animation is really lovely.
+ the character Sucy kind of outshined EVERYONE in the film.
- that being said, shouldnt this film be about her?

[Kill la Kill]
+ as expected, the studio had done a wonderful job on animation and aesthetics.
+ Ryuko Matoi is one of my new all-time favorite characters.
- however, for the show itself it was a massive disappointment to me. i felt it really had nothing to offer outside of looking cool.
- a show shouldnt JUST be made of cool fight scenes and i never felt like i was invested in the characters or the story.
- even when something SUPPOSEDLY important happens, the show's pacing is just so quick that it never gave me time to let it sink in before moving on to another battle. by the end of it all, i just didnt really care anymore.
- had it only been about a half-hour or 1 hour short film like Little Witch, i would have liked this a lot more. it's just disappointing because i really wanted to like Kill la Kill.

[Dragon's Crown]
+ through several free patch updates, the game has given players enough options to play with and extended longevity to the game's replay value.
+ as simple the story is, it's presentation is amazingly well-done. most of it having to do with the narration which sounds like a story is being read. this narrator (or one of the 6 characters who can be selected as narrator) also speaks in certain segments of gameplay with lines like "The dragon is about to set ablaze the room! Quick, ready your shield!". something so simple as that makes me as the player feel even more involved and like im doing something really heroic.
+ the world is also just a genuinely interesting place; fulfilling quests and missions also gives players more insight in the setting and lore of the monsters and creatures.
+ plenty of unlocks and items to fool around with. Player vs. Player modes and online functionality? Goodness, me!

+ George Kamitani's signature odd-yet-still-gorgeous artistic style is still intact here. odd proportions all around!
- although sometimes too odd

[Attack on Titan]
+ i was pleasantly surprised how interesting this show turned out to be. i was actually expecting to hate it - hell, i TRIED to hate it (as a challenge).
+ i found myself really invested in the characters' battle against these creatures. i found myself thinking of plans to try and stop the Titans too, as silly as it sounds.
+ the gadgets and precautions they take/make to defend and fight off the Titans are very cool to see in action, speaking of which...
+ the action sequences are very intense and very well animated.
- the main characters i felt were a bit weak, but they were interesting enough (Mikasa to a lesser extent) for me to go with their actions.
-
Mikasa felt too one-note for me the entire time.

[Watamote (the anime)]

+ the main character can be surprisingly relate-able at times.
+ a hilarious insight on social disorders
- that being said, i have no idea how to think about that.
- a bit too mean-spirited at times and most of which coming from the main character.
- the Ending theme.

[Binbougami, Ga!]
+ one of my favorite manga of all time - my manga of the year (2013).
+ like with One Piece, i found it very difficult to really dislike any single character.
+ the artwork is wonderful and expressive - shifting from dramatic to over-the-top funny (it seems like a gag-manga but with more emphasis on emotional scenes and fights).
+ the story is some parts action, some parts drama, some parts (surprisingly) psychological, but a truck load of funny, too! it seems very much like something i'd like to write.
- it ended D:
- sometimes the fanservice is a bit too gratuitous.

[Pokemon Y]
+ there couldnt have been a better time for me to come back to Pokemon.
+ the Friend Safari is a super brilliant idea.
+ now with the game being 3D, it feels to me like portable Pokemon Stadium - something i really wanted as a kid, haha.
+ the addition of Roller Skates and getting the Bike very, very early on is very welcome.
+ the sometimes odd yet hilarious dialogue.
- there was a story to this? i thought i was just catching critters. just let me catch my critters.
- even with all the new strategies and types, the game felt way too easy. i had a MUCH tougher time in the older games.

[RWBY]
+ some character designs very nicely done.
+ the trailers and battles were awesome!
- the show itself does not have a lot to offer by comparison.
- opposite to Kill la Kill, for the kind of story it is, it's really slow paced and ultimately boring. could have been fine if only the characters werent so uninteresting.
- the setting is also really uninteresting. there's just not a lot to look at.
- the characters are pretty much a set of typical character archetypes which we've all seen before. they dont do anything more to go beyond that either.

concerning again the paid commissions - please expect them by Friday Sunday at the latest.
im really sorry it took so long - classes demanded my full attention this semester, and i havent had too much time to work on them as much as i would have liked, among other things.

the same cant be said for the Skullgirls commissions, but they will also be worked on as i go along.

10 hours :U
thanks to everyone who stopped by! see you next week!

[Little Zaz Academia / Addressing 'Chara-Fighter 6: Not-Actually-Playable Edition ver. 2016' Auditions]
so, now that classes have begun, as i said before im going to be much busier.
for those who're coming from the Voice Acting Alliance forums and still need an email from me, im sending off the last of them today. school prep kept me from writing them sooner, but i assure that you will see them this week. some of the other artists and i have also made decisions on who else to cast for certain roles, so the thread will also be updated. also, please remember that this production, for the time being, is being done by myself alone. until all the necessary resources are completed for the actual Flash part of the project, this is a process that i definitely underestimated - but not left discouraged! i will simply go to the thread later on today to extend the deadline for auditions, as there are some characters who havent received enough auditions to draw a conclusion on who to cast yet.

['Little Owl': The Motion Comic - updates]
off-streams, i've been plotting more concept art and storyboards for the motion comic. for now, it's still set to a deadline by the end of November. it's really more character art and also concepts on the actual setting and environment. there will be more to come soon!

[previous posting for 'Little Owl']: because i cant stop being inspired, i started writing and conceptualizing one of the many short stories i mentioned doing from last year. im trying to get used to doing deadlines again, so im shooting for this to be done by the end of November. this story features two of my many characters, Naira and Annabelle, among other new characters made for the story. now, the 'Motion' part of the comic may come later, complete with fully-voiced dialogue, so i'll once again be holding auditions for the extra characters when the time comes to begin that portion of production. as of now, the goal is to make a complete one-shot comic. the 'Motion' part is a BIG maybe, as it depends on my own schedule and availability - still it's something i really want to eventually do.

i think that's all for now.
later good many nights, later days.

[Livestreaming Sched - Now Streaming Every Friday. Sometimes Sat and Sun, too]
so
im going to make another attempt at keeping a steady drawing schedule again.
at least more things will be done in a better, more timely manner this way. i also decided to keep a set day (maybe days) for livestreaming, which is, at the moment, set on Fridays. there's no particular time as to when it will start on Fridays, just that i will be doing one whenever im able. so just check in every now and then on Fridays. treat as though im streaming all day. Saturdays and Sundays are an option too, depending if i have anything to want to share and work on. other times i might just stream and hold a conversation or two about whatever is on my mind or yours. ask me question about what i plan on doing, what color my socks are, etc. a bit of chit-chat shouldnt hurt anybody.

[Skullgirls PC Beta - Online Matches, yes?]
whoops, Lobbies arent even up yet. nevermind :U
i've recently set up my PS3 controller to work on my PC, just so i can practice Squigly properly. i also really want to try and get a game going with someone at least once; more curiously to see if my computer can handle the online. if not, then it's Training Mode forever until the console versions come out. so if anyone has the beta and want to help put my curiosity to rest, please drop me a Note with your Steam name and when you're able to play a game or two.

[Chara-Fighter 6: Not-Actually-Playable-Edition ver. 2018]
just putting this up here again, but i started a silly little flash project with AbsolutePineapple.
what this is is just an interactive character select screen featuring characters of mine, AbsolutePineapple, 47ness, Aunekx-Keansmu, ReluctantZombie, EricALischka, SunnyRei, and DEADMEAT15. it's made-out like a fighting game, except, like the title says, is not actually playable. to sorta justify it, im also turning the thing into a big poke/jab at fighting games and the gaming industry of now as a whole; more specifically on DLC and how games have become easier over time. im not using this to try and make any profound statement about the industry or fighting game community, just making a bit of satire (and for the record, im not necessarily against DLC. just unreasonably over-priced ones for content that dont add too much to the game). as i believe i mentioned in a previous journal entry, im doing all the artworks and AbsolutePineapple is making with the part of the project that makes it interactive; the Flash stuff. but will this ever be playable? probably not, but im not setting out to make it so, as awesome as it might sound.

oh, and if you want to try your hand at voicing a character or two in the game (because if im going this far to make a character select screen, i might as well take it even further), just hit the following link: Chara-Fighter Voice Auditions.

another trip to the LA Convention Center is over and i reap and weep over my spoils. i weep because i didnt make nearly as much as i did last year, however, the experience i had there and the friends i got to meet was very much worthwhile. if money wasnt so important, i would have been flying to the moon and back over how nice this year's trip was.

i got many nice things, all of which you can see on my Tumblr right now.
i wont bother you folks with a gigantic post about what i did, so here are some nice highlights that made me, and others, happy. in no particular order:
  • a chance meeting and impromptu photo-op at Marukai with Arin 'Egoraptor' Hanson
  • giving the sketch i did of Yaya Han TO Yaya herself (yayacosplay), then proceed to a hug as thanks for the sketch and a photo-op
  • giving the sketch i did of Ben Juwono TO Ben himself (e1n), then proceed to Ben almost spitting up his food after promptly remembering im "The Eyebrow Dude"
  • meeting two awesome dudes who were totally into Momiji from Binbougami Ga!. one even bought my pricing sheet just because Momiji was on it! of all the things on my table, haha
  • receiving the 'No Peeking' Filia print from Xryuu
  • shootin' the breeze with many a cast member of Skullgirls, mostly with Danielle McRae and Laura Post.
  • making Laura "Nurse Valentine" Post super giddy by bringing a very wonderful Valentine cosplayer over to the Skullgirls booth. PS, if you were that Valentine cosplayer, please let me know your name/nickname so i can credit your picture on Tumblr!
  • Lauren Landa showing off my Squigly print during the Salty CupcAX stream.
  • that said, being IN the Salty CupcAX stream. i had no prior knowledge of this stream and it was a complete coincidence everything leading up to it happened the way it did
  • showing Kimlinh Tran the Robo-Fortune Mii on my 3DS ("How dare you immortalize me! :UUUU", says Kimlinh)
  • receiving a doodle of my character Naira from WalKWitHTimE.
  • a "crime scene" involving Spongebob
  • catching up with and shootin' the breeze with JohnSu
and that is most if not all the nice things i did/experienced at the con.

i also kinda had a 'journey' of sorts walking through the artist alley this year, more so than the last. so perhaps i will make another post regarding that as this really made me think about how im doing as an artist and what this kind of thing means to me. not only that, but also on how visitors interact with me and other artists. a short version of it is "there are people who really do enjoy what you do, no matter how small that group of people is".

that's all for now!
TTFN - tata for now :U

=========================[INTERACTIVE FLASH PROJECT: SEEKING VOICE TALENT]=========================
EDIT: forgot to mention, to the folks here whose characters are involved in the silly little Flash project. please be sure to check your emails at least a couple times a day and please try to hand me your feedbacks for the auditions to me as soon as possible. these auditions are becoming slightly more frequent by the day (especially yesterday, my goodness), so we've got a lot to listen to, as well as many emails to send on my end. it's a lot of work, but it gives me peace of mind being able to give the actors and actresses a response about their auditions.

thank you, folks.

Coming Soon - Custom Fight Stick Art Commissions
lastly, this'll be a brand new section on it's own for my commission thing.
being a regular follower of the fighting game community, i think it'd be nice to give back by offering to make custom stick art.
im still researching things, and this will likely not be open until after Anime Expo, but please sit tight if you're interested!

Concerning Skullgirls Commissions
i have to put this up for those of you who commissioned me for my "Donate-to-Indiegogo-Get-a-Drawing" Lab Zero Games fundraiser. while these commissions are being worked on, due to convention season coming up, i have to prepare for my Artist Alley things. i have so many things to work on, but im trying my best to get things done in a timely manner. it's tough, but im trying my damnedest. thanks for understanding.

oki doki, today is the day i head on up to AX to pre-registration. really hope some of you are going and i do hope to meet ye folks! i'll be sharing my table with Inkblot-Rabbit, so be sure to stop on by! our table number is listed below.

i'll also be wandering around the convention floor from time to time. on Days 2-3, i'll be in costume. one day as Nozomu Itoshiki (Zetsubou-Sensei) and also as Danny Choo (confusing because the REAL Danny Choo will be there. it's silly i tell you). i'll also be checking out the Skullgirls panel on Day 2 (Friday), Culture Japan x FAKKU meet-up on Day 3 (Saturday), and other things im not sure of yet. in the exhibit hall, if im not at my table, you can probably see my shootin' the breeze with fellow artists like JohnSu, e1n, oh8, WalKWitHTimE, yuumei, 47ness, and also around yayacosplay's booth. i know there's more, but i cant remember everything at the moment.

expect photos and, if i can manage, videos to be posted up on my Tumblr during the convention! i'll be back home Sunday evening, so see you until then!

=========================[ LAST TIME ON ZAZ'S JOURNAL ENTRY]=========================
Zaz on Zazzle
in an effort to help raise more funds in preparation for Anime Expo 2013 Artist Alley, i went back onto my Zazzle to sell nifty little trinkets and shirts. even as of now, im putting stuff up for sale, which i hope would spark enough interest to buy from. i earn my own revenue by royalty, thus i only get paid a fraction of the profit for slapping my design/artwork on the product. the rest of what you would pay goes to Zazzle, for shipping and providing the items to which i slap my art on.

i would appreciate if anyone would at least just look around and/or share. naturally even better if you buy something :la:
im open for suggestions as well - Zazzle offers a variety of products from buttons to keychains, shirts to hats, and phone cases to laptop sleeves, etc. if you want some unique artwork on your mouse pad or coffee mug, just let me know!

im even in the middle of putting a certain character of mine on a small pillow, because it makes too much sense.

Digi-Commissions Still Open!
throwing this one out there again, but i could really use the money still.
i have only a couple outside commissions to do, but i'd like to do more if i can! so if you're interested, dont hesitate to ask!

=======[| Skullgirls Fan-thology Comics Project |]=======
mentioned on numerous occasions from chatting with Cellsai, and in light of "The Black Torch Anthology" (more info here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1…) being worked on by several prolific artists (including Skullgirls creator, oh8), it seems now would be a good time to bring this up.

i've always wanted to do an anthology thingy (even better when at least one other person wants to do one too), and even if it is a free, digital, fan-created "book" filled to the brim with dandy comics, i am more than excited to do something like this.

i will update this entry as needed.

Rules and Guidelines
+ No Fan Characters - the main focus should be official characters. however, i dont have a problem if your character appears somewhere, or briefly interacting with an official character. just make sure that the focus is always on main character(s) of your story.

+ Any Character is Game - as long as they are official characters, released or otherwise, you may be able to write something on them. HOWEVER, please treat them with respect. dont make them do anything too out-of-character. the game may not have a canon storyline yet, but the characters do have established personalities. if you need a refresher course on characters not (yet) playable, check out the list made by Lab Zero: www.labzerogames.com/3rdcharac…

+ Have a Backup Story - this is to prevent too many stories focusing on the same character. let's say myself and Cellsai both wanted to write a story on Eliza. this would be fine, if it werent for another 4 people wanting to do the same thing. however, we do want to keep each story as diverse as possible in terms of main character(s). so please have at least one other back-up story with a different focus on another character(s). for those artists who are already on-board with the project, let me know as soon as possible who your story will be about, so that i can list them below. this is done in a first-come, first-serve basis. i suggest sticking with only a max of TWO characters as the main focus.

+ No Shipping Stories - probably the only genre we're not really allowing. you could however do 'buddy-buddy" type stories, but certainly nothing outright lovey-dovey.

+ Keep the T Rating - nothing overly explicit, please. that being said...

+ Anything Else Should Be Fine - you could write action, something more dramatic/serious, something silly, in color, black and white, etc. be creative and have fun with it!

Current Project Artists
1. Cellsai - Minnette, with Ricardo and Lawrence
2. justZaz - Scythana and Umbrella
3. AbsolutePineapple - Taliesin and Squigly
4. EricALischka - Feng and Minette
5. -------
6. -------
7. -------
8. -------
9. -------
10. -------

Cellsai suggested drawing a line at 6-10 artists, or just anywhere in-between. but here's another list below to keep track of those interested. call this list a 'casting call'. if you let me or even Cellsai know for sure you want to contribute, i'll bump you up to the 'Project' list.

Potential Artists
ReluctantZombie

like in any anthology, each artist will be making his or her own little short story. the subject again, is featuring the cast of Skullgirls. from what i understand, each artist will be working at his or her own time. there is no deadline for this, so keep in mind that you need to be 100% certain you're going to make something. remember also that these are 'short' stories, so try not to go on for too long; dont burden yourself with more work you didnt have to do.

Resuming Regular Commissions Soon
while i do still have quite a bit of work with the Skullgirls Indiegogo commissions seen below, im going to definitely reopen my normal paid commissions thing. i need to raise some money for my potential Artist Alley trips this year, as well as help fund for perhaps what will be my first stay in Japan with my cousin. it'll be a lot of work, but it must be done, if not only to have money to be able to eat something for dinner. i do have a lot on my plate, but i do want to get to work on them as timely as i can. be it voice work, drawing, or otherwise, at least i'll be productive.
